Do I need to have previous experience?
No. Our tours are 100% beginner friendly. We start with a short lesson on land and each participant progresses at their own pace.
Who can participate in the activity?
If you can do a couple of squats, you can do paddleboarding. We require basic mobility.
Who is this experience not recommended for?
For safety reasons, we do not recommend it for people who weigh more than 115 kg, who are pregnant, or who have serious injuries or open wounds.
Do I need to know how to swim?
No. This is a very safe activity for those who don't know how to swim, as the water is very calm and shallow (below the knees). The area has ideal conditions for learning in a relaxed environment.
Is it safe for children?
Yes, we have special equipment for the little ones. Besides helping them develop motor skills (balance, coordination, proprioception, and body awareness) while paddleboarding, they'll also connect with nature.
Can I bring my pet?
Of course! We're pet-friendly. However, we suggest bringing your pet after your first experience so you feel completely confident and in control of the board.
Where are the routes located and where do they depart from?
We are located in Progreso, Yucatán, 30 minutes from the city of Mérida. Tours depart from Marina Laguna Mar. Advance booking is essential.
What are the tour times?
The excursions depart at dawn. This time offers the best weather conditions, less current, and the greatest chance of seeing wildlife. Please arrive 30 minutes before sunrise. The exact time varies depending on the season.
Is it possible to do the tour at a different time?
Yes, it's possible for groups of at least 4 people, but we need to check the weather. We suggest going at dawn, as the current is stronger later and requires better physical fitness. Getting up early is worth it!
How long does the activity last?
The activity lasts 2 hours (practice, tour, breaks, educational talk, and photos). However, we're not strictly on time; we want you to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. We might extend the time a bit if the mangrove offers us a surprise, such as a flamingo sighting.
What should I bring?
Light and comfortable clothing, swimsuit, towel, water, insect repellent, and biodegradable sunscreen. Complete equipment (board, paddle, and leash) is included.
Can I bring my cell phone or camera?
Of course, we recommend using a protective case and float for your equipment. If you don't want to expose your equipment, don't worry: we take videos during the tour that you can purchase for just $150 at the end.
If I purchased videos, how long will it take to receive them?
We usually take no more than two days. During peak season, it could take up to a week. We appreciate your patience; we work hard to deliver the best quality.
How far in advance should I book?
Our spaces are limited for safety and to protect the mangrove. We suggest booking one or two weeks in advance, especially on weekends or during holiday seasons.
How can I make my reservation?
You can contact us directly via WhatsApp or through our website. We require a deposit to confirm your place (except during holiday season when full payment is required).
How far in advance should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before departure time for check-in and instructions. Sunrise doesn't wait, and we start on time out of respect for the group.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our priority. If conditions are not optimal, we will reschedule your departure to a date that suits you (subject to availability), or you can transfer your reservation to someone else.
Can I cancel the experience?
In case of cancellation by the client, there will be no refund, as it covers administrative costs and blocking the table on the chosen date.

We sailed along the coast from Chelem, passing the statue of Poseidon, finally anchoring at the fiscal pier (the longest in the world), the most tranquil area for swimming, eating, and enjoying the sea breeze. Afterwards, we returned to the marina.
What does boat rental include?
All boats include a captain and crew member who provides waiter service, fuel, life jackets, a floating mat, a cooler, and onboard sound equipment. You can bring your own drinks and food, or we can take care of it for an additional fee. (*Tips not included)
How long does the ride last?
The minimum rental is 4 or 6 hours. If you want more time, you can buy extra hours. Regardless of the time, the route is practically the same.
Is it possible to rent for a shorter period?
We can return whenever you decide, however the minimum rental cost is for 4 hours.
What are the sailing hours?
You decide what time to set sail; we can even sail to see the sunrise.
Recommendation: If you're traveling with children or if anyone is prone to seasickness, we suggest sailing in the morning. The earlier you go, the calmer the swell usually is.
Risk and Enjoyment (Sunset/Night): Sunset is the time of day when seas are more prone to rough seas. The rainy season (summer) offers the best sunsets, but by booking, you accept the risk of a downpour; once it passes, the sea becomes calm and beautiful.
Night safety: If the sea is rough at night, everyone must remain seated in the area designated by the Captain until the vessel is inside the Harbor.
Weekend Holiday Season Rule: Due to high demand, morning tours must end no later than 3 pm and afternoon tours must begin after 3 pm. Please book in advance.
Is it possible to take a different route?
Yes, we can quote customized tours between Chuburná and Chicxulub or special trips to Isla Alacranes (3 nights/3 days).
Is fishing allowed during the walk?
No, if you want to go fishing we have a ceviche fishing service at an additional cost.
What does boat rental include?
Includes: Captain and a sailor (waiter service), fuel, life jackets, floating mat, cooler and Bluetooth sound equipment.
Our premium service is personalized and includes food, drinks, and a video of the experience.
What should I bring?
Bring everything you'd like to eat, an outfit for photos, a swimsuit, a towel, biodegradable sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Tip: If you're prone to motion sickness, avoid heavy meals and consult your doctor about preventative medication.
Is it allowed to consume alcohol or bring food?
Yes, please consume in moderation and responsibly. For safety reasons, glassware is not permitted, so your drinks must be in cans or served in glasses.
Can I rent a yacht or sailboat without a captain?
No. You can drive the vessel if you wish, but the Captain will always be on board to ensure safety.
Is there a passenger limit?
Yes, each boat has a maximum capacity, so make sure you choose a vessel that matches the size of your group.
Can I bring pets?
Ask about pet-friendly boats before booking. Most have sensitive flooring (Foamdeck). If your pet causes damage, you are responsible for paying for repairs or replacements.
What rules must I follow on board?
For safety: Do not enter the cabin area wet, do not have glass objects, do not be in an unfit state or consume illegal substances.
For the care of the vessel: No smoking inside or wearing shoes on board.
Can the tour be suspended?
Yes. The captain may suspend the tour if there is a safety risk or a breach of the rules; in that case, there is no refund.
Do we lose cell phone signal while browsing?
No. There's cell phone signal throughout the entire trip, since we're sailing along the coast and you'll always have land in sight!
How can I challenge a yacht?
Contact us via WhatsApp; your reservation is only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit (we do not "reserve" boats verbally). The balance must be paid before departure.
Can I change boats after booking?
Once the advance payment has been made, it will NOT be possible to change ships.
What happens if I want to cancel or change my date?
You can change the date free of charge by notifying us at least 7 days in advance (subject to availability). In case of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable.

Can I hold a private event at sea?
Of course! We organize birthdays, marriage proposals, romantic dinners, bachelorette parties, anniversaries, team-building events, and even ash scatterings. We personalize every detail. If your event isn't listed, contact us and we'll create something new.
What additional services do you offer for events?
Our service is tailored to your needs and includes: decorations, onboard menu, photographer, DJ, or guided meditation (depending on the type of vessel and occasion). Remember that you are also free to hire these services separately; we will support you to ensure everything goes as you envision.
How far in advance should an event be planned?
To guarantee boat availability and complex additional services (such as decorations or menus), it's best to book at least one month in advance. If you don't need that much planning, 15 days will be sufficient.
Do you have options for large groups?
Yes. Our catamaran is the perfect option, with the capacity to host events with groups of up to 40 people.
Can we hire a DJ or live music?
Yes, our Fiesta Catamaran has the appropriate power outlets and sufficient space.
